About the book
A wonderful little book for anyone who loves Golden Retrievers – and who doesn’t love them? Whether you have experienced the joy of parenting a Golden Retriever, are a wannabe Goldie parent or you just love dogs, you will enjoy this quirky bi(dog)raphy, which gives a glimpse into the life of one of the most special dogs on the planet.
Dog parents and those who know this remarkable breed will relate to the stories – like how Bongo ate a dishcloth and ended up in intensive care, how the vet had to lie underneath him to take his stitches out because he refused to be restrained, or how he leapt into a river in mid-winter and got swept away by the current.
Covering the first five years of Bongo’s adventurous life, this book is written in an easy, light-hearted style, with a visual backdrop of striking photos. With a good mix of humour and emotion, the story magically encapsulates the ups and downs of living with a Golden Retriever. You’ll find yourself laughing and commiserating, and you’ll eventually find out whether Bongo swallowed his mom’s diamond ring or not.
